Tick, tock

Tick, tock, tick, tock...goes the clock...
Do we realize it enough? Or do we have to be reminded with death of loved ones, with tragic catastrophes in the news? What does it take for a person to really start living his life to the fullest, like it was his last day? A kick in the butt? A strong shake?

Sometimes it seems we are living like we would be moon-walking and sometimes our dreams appear to be more lively than our daytime. We fall in some kind of a rut, a rutine that turns us into zombies. We get up early, go to work, stress ourselves about work, go home, stress ourselves about kids and the state of our apartment, we go to bed, stressed, and the next morning get up early, stressed out... That's how life is for most of the people. And through the years the boss wants us to work longer, there's more paperwork, we have less and less energy for our biggest possession.

Our children. They matter the most. They are our legacy- not the houses, cars, etc. that we will leave behind. They are the only thing that matters. And now I understand women, who stay at home to raise their children. I didn't before. Because, until you're a mother, it's hard to understand.

What does it take to stop this mad train?

There actually are ways out. Out of the rat game. But you have to play it smart, and not behave like a sheep. Don' t go in direction that everyone else go. Everyone works for someone else, you work for yourself. Everyone work with the biggest and best companies, you work alone and nurture your little garden, until it gets bigger and bigger. No stress, just your tempo and slow growth.

Self employed people in our country that worked or otherwise relied on big (for example) building companies, are now in great debt. People who can work for themselves get from the business as much as they put in. And as soon as you have a surplus, you invest it, best into gold.
This is only one way. There are many more, I'm sure.

Why don't we all do it? Because we are afraid it might not work. Because we don't (yet) have a way of how to turn the work we love to do into profitable business, because we don't have enough starting capital, because we are afraid we won't provide enough for our children, or perhaps because we weren't been raised in an environment that would support this kind of thinking. Lots of reasons.

Now lets stop the whining. Start living our dream or decide on purpose we are going to be happy in this unchanged situation. It's our choice. Let's make it!
